Salobreña area

Salobreña is a small coastal town on Costa Tropical with more than 12,000 inhabitants. In a 45-minute drive you can get to Granada, and in an hour to the ski resort Sierra Nevada and to Malagaairport.

Salobreña's location is very unique, perched on the cliffs with its whitewashed houses, the town has incredible views of the Moorish castle in the village, as well as the Mediterranean and the sugar plantations. Sierra Nevada mountain peaks dominate the horizon to the north and Salobreña's coastline offers 8km of well-kept pebble and sandy beaches.

In the village you can stroll along narrow cobblestone streets leading to the beautiful Moorish castle. Hidden corners offer small tapas bars and lots of Andalusian charm.

The climate consists of mild winters and warm summers and due to the low humidity, Salobreña has the second healthiest climate in the world. There is an artificial reef where you can snorkel and dive and see a rich marine life. For golfers there is an 18-hole golf course 5 km east of the town.

Salobreña's beautiful nature and landscapes as well as the wonderful panoramic views make it an ideal place to relax in the sun.
