Costa del Sol – apartments and houses for sale
Costa del Sol is Spain's most attractive area for foreigners looking to buy a house or apartment in Spain. Marbella (Estepona is a slightly cheaper alternative on the western Costa Del Sol ) is still the most popular for those looking to buy more expensive luxury villas, and Torrox Costa and the resorts between Malaga and Nerja are the best areas for budget purchases. Mijas, Benalmadena and Fuengirola have long been very popular resorts among Scandinavians, and thousands of Swedes look for a villa or apartment in these areas every year.
The most popular resort on Costa Del Sol right now, in all categories, is the small, beautiful town Nerja. Note that much has sold out on Costa del Sol in the years after the crisis, but that new development is now starting again. Keep in mind that in the first phase, newly built houses and apartments are being built in the most attractive plots that can still be built on. Over time, they will be built in increasingly remote locations at increasingly higher prices.
