Apartments along the coastal road Granada-Malaga!

[Note, this is an article from 2015. Bank Repossession basically no longer exists. However, there are still good buys along this stretch within regular resale. Write to info@spanskafastigheter.se for more information].

It is unusual for bank repossession to be located on the beach. However, this is a real exception that proves the rule. In fact, it is not allowed to build this close to the beach in Spain these days, which makes these bank repossession extra interesting.

These newly built apartments are located off the N340 coastal road between Malaga and Granada (It takes just over an hour to reach Malaga airport by car.) The coastal road is known for being unusually unspoilt, mountainous, and breathtakingly beautiful.

[Update, these are sold out. Write to info@spanskafastigheter.se if you are interested in a similar listing on Costa Tropical.)

The location is on the coast, Playa de Los Gypsum, below the village of Sorvilan. This village is very well located between the Sierra de la Contraviesa mountain range and the Mediterranean Sea. The village itself, which is located a little inland (the apartments are a little further down, right by the sea), has a varied landscape with vineyards, hiking trails, subtropical plants, cork oaks, ravines, hills, beaches and rivers.

The area is known for its traditional textile industry, its fantastic almonds and wine, as well as tasty vegetables and fruits such as tomatoes, pumpkins and various types of melon, perhaps most notably watermelon. The area hosts various types of festivals every year, including a “veal stew” competition (!) in May, the Concurso Gastronómico Guiso del Choto.

This is a fantastic area for those who want a little bit of everything; varied nature, beach life, hiking trails in the mountains, peace and quiet, and proximity to the big city and airport (it is easy and convenient to get to both Malaga and Granada).
