Rent a house or apartment in Spain privately
In many cases, there is no other option but to rent on the spot (especially if you are going to rent for a year or longer). Whether you are looking for accommodation on one of the Spanish islands, or on the mainland such as the Costa Blanca, Costa Calida, Costa del Sol, as well as the big cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, etc. There are many available homes in Spain for rent, in the wake of the crisis, and private options advertise extensively in local papers, at the airport, etc. The deposit varies, but 3 months or more is not uncommon to require in the deposit.
One tip is to rent housing for a couple of weeks to a month from, for example, us or another actor and then find a private long-term alternative on site. This is almost always the most economical strategy, albeit a bit more risky. It is also a good strategy as long as you really get a feel for the surroundings and the accommodation once you are there.

Tip : If you want to live as cheaply as possible in the sun, avoid the most popular areas where tourism is strong more or less all year round. So, for example, the Costa Blanca's range of rental housing is cheaper than the Costa del Sol (which broke a new tourism record last year) and Girona or Lloret del Mar are cheaper than the big city of Barcelona. Even within certain more defined areas, prices differ greatly. Almunecar on the Costa Tropical is a cheaper option than popular Nerja, Estepona is cheaper than Marbella, etc. As with everything else in Spain, there are big regional and local differences in price.
