The area of Salobreña

Salobreña is a small coastal town on the Costa Tropical with more than 12,000 inhabitants. In a 45 minute drive you can reach Granada, and in an hour the Sierra Nevada ski resort and Malaga airport.

Salobreña's location is very unique, located on the cliffs with its whitewashed houses, the town has an incredible view of the Moorish castle in the village, as well as the Mediterranean Sea and the sugar plantations. The Sierra Nevada mountain peaks dominate the horizon to the north and Salobreña's coastline offers 8km of manicured pebble and sandy beaches.

In the village you can walk on narrow stone streets that lead up to the beautiful Moorish castle. Hidden corners offer small tapas bars and lots of Andalusian charm.

The climate consists of mild winters and hot summers and due to the low humidity, Salobreña has the second healthiest climate in the world. There is an artificial reef where you can snorkel and dive and see a rich marine life. For golfers, there is an 18-hole golf course 5 km east of town.

Salobreña's beautiful nature and landscape as well as the wonderful panoramic views make it an ideal place to relax in the sun.
