In the spring of 22, it is also clear that Nerja is investing in another new cycle track. The new project, costing €660,000, will run from the connecting roundabout that leads to Burriana beach in the eastern parts of the city, all the way to Punta Lara/Ladera in the west. The wide cycle path will go via Avenida de Pescia and N-340. Cycling from Punta Lara to Burriana beach takes just 18 minutes.

How could such a large project sell out so quickly? One of the buyers summed it up best on our Facebook page:

"Two months after launch, only two remain. There are always vacant properties and in the Nerja area as a whole there is quite a lot to choose from. But in the municipality of Nerja and near the old city center, the supply is limited, the price tag high and many apartments in need of modernization. Many therefore do not find what they want. In this building, you get a state-of-the-art and winter-heated pool, which is almost completely missing in Nerja, at a lower or equivalent price as for apartments that were built in the 70s. In addition, it is directly adjacent to an established and developed settlement."

Several factors make this project stand out from other new development on the Costa del Sol (such as being located in popular Nerja , the price, heated saltwater pool, appliances and A/C etc. included). Above all, however, it is the unique location near the sea, right below the cliffs, in a terrace-like location, that makes the new building stand out. In other places along the Solkusten, new apartments are being built, and will be built in the future. But there are basically no such areas close to the sea left, so the homes unfortunately end up far inland.

About upcoming new development for sale in Ladera and Nerja

There is absolutely no better, large, piece of land left to build on in Nerja than right here in Ladera del Mar.

There are not many plots left to build on in Nerja overall, but homes on some smaller plots will be launched in 2021.

As for the longer perspective, most people agree that it is the section between Nerja and Torrox that will be newly built. At the moment, however, there are very few projects that are running and the interest is doubtful as most are looking within Nerja's municipal boundaries.
