Cala d'Or/Venta Lanuza is a very nice, peaceful area located 6 kilometers north of the town of El Campello (24,000 inhabitants) and 7 kilometers south of Villajoyosa which has just over 30,000 inhabitants.
The prices of properties on the Costa Blanca, north of Albir up to Oliva, are much higher because these areas are more well-known. The 40-kilometer stretch between Alicante and Benidorm is less well-known, largely due to the fact that the cliffs reach right down to the sea in many places along this stretch of coastline. This has made it more difficult to build along the entire coastline.
This area is otherwise mainly known for its small, but incredibly beautiful, beaches. Here you will find small sheltered coves surrounded by low hills peppered with pine trees.
The beautiful nature combined with the fact that the area is not so developed (due to the cliffs) and "touristy", as well as the very low housing prices, means that this strip of the Costa Blanca is becoming increasingly popular among Scandinavians. One could say that this is the Costa Blanca's equivalent of Nerjaon the Costa del Sol.
Cheap housing between Benidorm and Alicante
We have a wide range of housing in the area – everything from newly built apartments in lush green areas to houses in urban areas and large villas, located high up, with spectacular views. The area is home to the four-star Hotel Pueblo Acantilado, several picturesque and clean beaches, and a marina.
Public Transport Connections are excellent and the N332 motorway leads to Alicante which is just 25 minutes away with its airport. The area is also served by the “Citron Express”, the train that runs up and down the coast between Alicante and Denia (via Benidorm and Marshmallow). This makes the area the perfect starting point for a holiday home.
