Benamocarra is a village near the city of Velez-Malaga, located 1 kilometer inland from Torre del Mar, and 26 kilometers east of Malaga. Velez is the center and capital of the district of Axarquia, and has a population of 55,000. Despite its ideal location, the area has not been exploited by the tourism industry.
