San Pedro has gotten a big boost in recent years, but a new "boulevard", a plethora of fantastic restaurants, beach bars, etc. Very child-friendly area and relatively flat so you can easily walk everywhere (good for the elderly). There has been a lot of new construction here in recent years, but there are also nice Andalusian townhouses, villas, etc. for sale in San Pedro. You currently get more for your money here than, for example, in Nueva Andalucia or Marbella.
