It is close to the shopping center and restaurants and bus stop if you want to go to Torrevieja for example (about 10 minutes). You don't need a car here, which many feel is an advantage. The distance to the airport in Alicante is less than 7 miles (fast motorway), and it is only 28 kilometers to the airport in Murcia (San Javier).

More about the area and Punta Prima

The residential area is close to Punta Prima's shopping center with restaurants and bars. Road n332 leads quickly straight into Torrevieja.

Punta Prima is a large urbanization (a few kilometers southwest of Torrevieja) consisting of a mix of apartments, townhouses and villas.

  • The beaches are famous for their cleanliness and several have received so-called "Blue Flag" awards.
  • There are several markets in Punta Prima and the most popular is Playa Flamenca which is organized every Saturday morning.
  • There are also several golf courses nearby.
  • Here, activities are constantly organized on the beach, and there are tennis clubs, gyms, etc. in the area.
  • A popular excursion area is the beneficial and world-famous salt lakes that are very close by. There you can also see Pink Flamingos.
  • Fishing and sailing are other popular activities in the area.

The climate is excellent and the sea breeze cools in the summer while the mountains towering in the background protect from northern winds during the winter. The WHO recommended the area in 1986 as it has one of the best climates on earth for health because it does not get too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter. On average, Punta Prima has 325 sunny days a year. Or as our broker on the Costa Blanca put it "Now in January, Landskrona had seven hours of sunshine, Stockholm 20 - here 10 a day".

There are several new builds in Punta Prima, but in our opinion this is clearly the most affordable. Buying newly built apartments at this price in an area like this is a unique opportunity for those who want to move, or invest in, a home in the sun.

Furthermore, a new marina will be built in this area (expected to be completed in 2021), which will further increase the value of the homes over time.
